A Doula will:
•Support the decisions you make, a doula is your advocate
•Suggest positions, comfort techniques, and ideas to help the labor progress
•Help you get your questions answered
•Provide emotional support and encouragement to you and your birth partner
•Help your birth partner to have an active roll in primary support; a doula does NOT take dad's place; but helps dad to stay involved.
•Help you stay as close as possible to your birth plan and gently remind you if there is a departure from it.
•Assist with initial breastfeeding after birth and offer ongoing support
